This website (the "Site") is owned and maintained by MA Healthcare Limited whose registered office is at St. Jude's Church, Dulwich Road, Herne Hill, London SE24 0PB ("MA Healthcare"). By accessing or using the Site, you acknowledge and agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions. These Terms and Conditions may vary from time to time, so please check them regularly. Your continued use of the Site following the posting of any changes will mean that you have accepted the changes.
Please note that, as well as abiding by these terms and conditions, anyone who wishes to access the archive contained on this Site and takes out either an annual personal subscription or a trial subscription for 24 hours to BJHM's online archive, will have to accept the terms and conditions contained in the Personal Subscription Agreement and the 24 Hour Access Agreement, respectively.
General terms and conditions
You agree to use the Site only for lawful purposes and in a manner that does not infringe the rights of, or restrict or inhibit the use and enjoyment of, the Site by any third party. You shall indemnify MA Healthcare against all costs, claims, demands or expenses incurred by or made against MA Healthcare or the Site as a result of any breach of these Terms and Conditions or howsoever.
If these Terms and Conditions are not accepted in full, you do not have permission to access the contents of the Site and should cease using the Site immediately.
All content on this website, including site layout, design, images, programs, text and other information (collectively, the "Content") is the property of MA Healthcare and its affiliated companies or licensors and is protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws. The Site is for personal use only and all material is provided for information purposes only.
The Site may contain hyperlinks to other sites or resources that are provided for your convenience. Except in relation to links to websites owned by MA Healthcare or any of its affiliated companies, MA Healthcare is not responsible for the availability of external sites or resources linked to the Site, and does not endorse and is not responsible or liable for any content, advertising, products or other materials on or available from such sites or resources.
Transactions that occur between you and any third party are strictly between you that third party and are not the responsibility of MA Healthcare. Because MA Healthcare is not responsible for the availability or accuracy of these outside resources or their contents, you should review the terms and conditions and privacy policies of these linked sites, as their policies may differ from ours.
Use of Site content
You may not modify, copy, distribute, transmit, display, perform, reproduce, publish, licence, create derivative works from, transfer or sell any information (whether in hard copy or electronic format) obtained from the Site except in accordance with the permissions set out below or as permitted by the Copyright Designs and Patents Act 1988 or the Copyright and Rights in Databases Regulations 1997 as applicable.
You may print or download Content from the Site for your own personal, non-commercial use, provided that you keep intact all copyright and other proprietary notices. You may not engage in systematic retrieval of Content from the Site to create, compile, directly or indirectly, a collection, compilation, database or directory without prior written permission of MA Healthcare.

MA Healthcare reserves the right at any time at its discretion to withdraw or modify the licenses set out above. The Site and all Content, products and services included in or accessible from this site are provided "as is" and without warranties or representations of any kind (express, implied and statutory, including but not limited to the warranties of title and non-infringement and the implied warranties of merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose), all of which MA Healthcare disclaims to the fullest extent permitted by law. Your use of the Site is at your sole risk.
To the extent permissible under applicable laws, no responsibility is assumed for injury and/or damage to persons or property as a matter of products liability, negligence or otherwise, or from any use or operation of ideas, instructions, methods, products or procedures contained in the Site. Any Content which contains medical or health sciences information is intended for professional use within the medical field. No suggested test or procedure should be carried out unless, in the readerís judgment, its risk is justified. In no event will MA Healthcare, its affiliates or licensors be liable to you or anyone else for any decision made or action taken by you in reliance on such information. MA Healthcare and its affiliates and its licensors shall not be liable to you or anyone else for any damages (including, without limitation, consequential, special, incidental, indirect, or similar damages) even if advised of the possibility of such damages.
MA Healthcare neither endorses nor takes responsibility for any products, goods or services offered by third party vendors through our services or advertised on our system.
Interruption to service
MA Healthcare aims to keep the Site available twenty-four hours a day, seven days a week, to maintain saved information and to ensure that the quality of the Site remains high. However, due to technical failures, acts of God or routine maintenance, availability may be limited and/or information may be lost. MA Healthcare shall not be liable for lost information or non-availability of services.
In addition, MA Healthcare does not warrant that the functions contained in the Site will be uninterrupted or error free, that defects will be corrected, or that the Site or the server that makes it available are free of viruses or bugs or represents the full functionality, accuracy and reliability of the materials. As a result, we do not accept any ongoing obligation, liability or responsibility in respect of the same.
MA Healthcare operates the following refund policy:
If after receiving two issues of the journal, you decide to that the journal is not for you, you are entitled to cancel your paper copy subscription of the journal and receive a full refund.
Online and Paper subscriptions
If after receiving two issues of the journal, you are entitled to downgrade your subscription from a combined paper and online subscription to a personal online subscription only. You shall be entitled to a refund of the full amount of the difference between the cost of combined online and paper subscription, and a personal online subscription.
Online Subscriptions (including article downloads)
Unfortunately, MA Healthcare is unable to provide a refund to anyone who takes out a personal online subscription, a 24-Hour subscription or who pays to download an article via pay-per-view.
MA Healthcare reserves the right to remove, alter, change or vary the services offered on the Site at any time without notice.
Law and jurisdiction
The Site is administered by MA Healthcare from its corporate headquarters in London, United Kingdom. This agreement shall be governed by the laws of England and Wales. The Courts of England and Wales are to have exclusive jurisdiction and venue for any dispute arising out of or in connection with the use of the Site.
