British Journal of Hospital Medicine 69(11): 654 - 655 (Nov 2008)

A 30-year-old woman presented to the accident and emergency department with left-sided chest pain which she had had for the past few days. She also complained of wheezing for the past 3 months for which she had seen her GP who had provisionally diagnosed asthma. Also, she had recently travelled by air for about 12 hours. On clinical examination, there was reduced air entry on the left side.
